dreamweaver background color dark

1) replace CodeColoring(for windows), or Colors(for mac) with this one
 
Win: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CSX\en_US\Configuration\CodeColoring

Colors(mac)_CodeColoring(win)_dreamweaver_dark.xml
rename to
CodeColoring.xml
 


2) in dreamweaver, ctrl +u  open Preference, choose code coloring, select ColdFusion component,

     at bottom, default background, choose black.(ONLY save background color change here)

     DO NOT change any other (like comment background) color here, other wise, conflict,
     will crash.


3) comment background color, already updated.  If not, do not change color in ctrl+u,
    Instead find the current color and replace it in CodeColoring.xml

Backup your old colors:


Mac: USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CSX/en-US/Configuration/CodeColoring/Colors.xml


Win: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CSX\en_US\Configuration\CodeColoring




Replace the old file with this one:

if you want change background color of comment,

ctrl +u  open up color config, HERE you CAN NOT change any color, because the color was read from CodeColoring.xml

Now you need to find the current comment background color which is #FF9,
find this in CodeColoring.xml.

It is "coldfusion comment" change to the color you want, such as #03C

restart dreamweaver.
